Use and satisfaction of the youth of Tehran from traditional methods of religious propaganda

Abstract

Aim: the paper seeks to review the relationship between Tehran's youth's usage of and satisfaction with traditional methods of religious propagation.
Method: The research is an applied one in terms of its nature and aim and conducted using survey-analytical method. The statistical population includes people aged between 15-29 years old living in Tehran, the sample has been determined using Morgan's table, which includes 384 people, and relative distribution classification method is used for sampling. A survey and questionnaire is used to gather data, which have been analyzed using descriptive-interferential statistics. 
Findings: The findings indicate that the youth most attended the sessions of eulogy and recitation of the sufferings of holy martyrs held by religious processions, religious festivals and mourning held in mosques, and sessions of religious admonition and preaching, then sessions of passion play. Furthermore, the youth were most satisfied with the sessions of eulogy and recitation of the sufferings of holy martyrs, passion play, religious festivals and mourning held in mosques and then those of religious admonition and preaching. The results of examining the hypotheses also show that the amount of youth' usage of different traditional methods of religious propagation is directly correlated with their satisfaction with these media.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that the increase in the amount of youth's usage of aforementioned media will lead to the increase in the amount of their satisfaction.
